North Plains Energy, LLC ("NPE") is a Denver based oil and gas company led by a highly capable management team with substantial experience acquiring, developing, and enhancing oil and gas assets within the continental US. NPE currently owns significant acreage on the West Flank of the Nesson Anticline within Divide, Williams, Dunn and McKenzie counties of North Dakota.
BSI Energy Partners, LLC (“BSI”)
BSI is a working partner and major investor in NPE. BSI consists primarily of the former principals and employees of Bentley-Simonson, Inc., a California-based E&P company that owned and operated over 225 wells throughout California and the Los Angeles Basin. BSI’s multi-disciplined investment team consists of professionals experienced in both the finance and operations sides of the E&P business with proven success in all stages of the investment process including the evaluation, acquisition, operation and enhancement of various oil and gas properties. BSI’s principals have a demonstrated track record of over 15 years of successfully acquiring, exploiting and divesting numerous E&P properties through the execution of a deliberate, focused operational plan. |
NPE currently owns significant acreage on the West Flank of the Nesson Anticline within Divide, Williams, Dunn and McKenzie counties of North Dakota. This region is known most notably for the extensive presence of the Bakken Shale Formation, a rock unit from the Late Devonian to Early Mississippian age occupying about 200,000 square miles of the subsurface of the Williston Basin, covering parts of Montana, North Dakota, and Saskatchewan.
